Thought it was time I did a blog as it’s been too long since I’ve done one.

What have I been doing with my life since my last blog?

I’ve been doing a fair bit of gravel riding which I’ve been enjoying as what we have on our doorstep up in Inverness is absolutely beautiful, the scenery and tracks are amazing and something I never take for granted. I’ve managed to get my Dexcom G6 to link to my Garmin Edge 530 bicycle computer which allows me to get real time blood glucose levels on my Garmin which is mounted on a blender mount on my handlebar stem which is a game changer not having to stop and get my mobile phone out to see my blood glucose levels.

When the weather isn’t so good I go out into my new shed which I had power installed and I do a session on my turbo trainer using a app which is linked to Tacx and Garmin which allows me to do virtual rides all over the World which is crazy how real the rides look and feel.

Most Saturdays are spent watching our oldest Aly playing for Clachnacuddin FC in the Highland League which they have started the season really well sitting in 5th place in the league and have a cup final to look forward to next Saturday against Brora Rangers in the North of Scotland Cup.
Aly’s Granda Derek who was a deadly winger played for Clachnacuddin FC back in the 60”s.
Just so happens it was Clachnacuddin CC that I started my cycling career with when I was 13 years old.

Short and sweet but better than nothing as they say.

For now take care.
